Our core rule
We do not recommend a paid tool, service manual or other purchase when the documented procedure can be completed safely without it, or when the purchase is not clearly justified by the reader’s problem.
Our research approach
- Identify the exact decision or repair question
- Look for manufacturer documentation, fitment details, service conditions or serial/VIN-specific information
- State uncertainty clearly when coverage or compatibility depends on model year, VIN or serial number
- Prefer decision support over broad “best product” content
Corrections
If a page is materially incorrect, Garage Decision aims to correct it as quickly as practical after the error is verified.
